Robert A. Rausch

Rob represents clients in a wide variety of personal injury matters including slip and fall accidents, motor vehicle accidents, and construction site litigation. He joined Maynard O’Connor in 1997 and was named a partner in 2004.
Rob received his legal degree from Albany Law School and is a past president of the Albany Law School National Alumni Association. In 2019, Rob was honored with the Albany Law School’s Excellence in Alumni Service Award. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Western Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the U.S. He is the past President of the Capital District Trial Lawyers Association and is also a member of the Albany County and New York State Bar Associations. Every year between 2012 and 2024, Rob was honored by Super Lawyers magazine and included in its annual issue acknowledging outstanding Upstate New York attorneys, and was recognized for his successes in the categories of both “Personal Injury Defense: General” and “Appellate Practice”. Robert has handled numerous trials to verdict and has argued appeals at all levels of state and federal courts. He has also lectured and authored materials for use in many continuing legal education programs for attorneys.
Rob is a graduate of Le Moyne College and remains very involved in the Le Moyne College Alumni Association. In addition, Rob is the former co-chair of Dancing in the Woods, a fundraiser to benefit the Albany Medical Center Children’s Cancer Center. He has also served as a mentor for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s “Team in Training.” An avid runner, Rob has completed five marathons and forty-five half marathons. In his spare time, Rob enjoys travel and is pursuing a lifetime goal of visiting all MLB parks and US National Parks.
Rob resides in Guilderland with his wife.
